I have the honor of again participating in the Literary Hill BookFest! This is its third year, and last year was a fantastic experience. (See some of my photos here.) Well organized, friendly atmosphere, great variety in terms of authors, and interesting attendees who actually bought books? Well, that took the cake. And the setting isn’t bad either: the historic Eastern Market’s North Hall. You can stop in the soutnern part of the Market beforehand to pick up the best apple fritter in the city, a whole mackerel, squid ink pasta, or a pound of grapes. Outside there’s an artisans market that’s not to be missed. So all-in-all, a worthwhile trip!
The event has been added to my calendar on the blog and also on my facebook page. If you are in the area and care to come out, it’s at Eastern Market on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC and is easily bus and metro accessible. Completely free, 11am to 3pm on Sunday, May 5th, 2013!
