Videographer and Richmond native Darryl Johnson has crafted a compelling documentary on the story of the Richmond Theater fire and its aftermath. Blending interviews with historians, authentic early nineteenth century images, and his own impressive footage, he weaves together a story of tragedy and redemption that shaped Virginia. This is a superb short film and introduction to this important historic disaster and I’m pleased that I could take part as an interviewee.
